Ven. Khenpo Kalsang Nyima Rinpoche
Lama Kalsang is born in eastern Tibet, at Congh Shi in the province of Makham Zhong. When he was 10, on the suggestion of his father he decided to become a monk. He was later recognized as the reincarnation of Gunna Khenpo Tsering.
During his youth, he came to the biggest Sakya Monastery, the Lhankam Chemo, were he received the most important empowerments and teachings in the Sakya Lineage.
1991, after a pilgrimmage to Mount Kailash, he left Tibet, walking for 15 days in the mountains, till he reached India. There he met His Holiness Sakya Trizin for the first time in his life. There he studied, for nine years at Sakya College in Dehradun.
2002, H.H. Sakya Trizin invited him as a resident Lama in Malasya and then, from 2004 to 2006, in Singapore, were he guided the Sakya community. On the request from Sakya Tashi Choling in Budapest, Hungary, H.H. Sakya Trizin sent him to take care of the center there, as a resident Lama. Since 2006 he lives and teaches in Budapest, but have given many teachings and empowerments in other European countries
Since 2012 Lama Kalsang Rinpoche comes regularly to Centro Sakya Ngon Ga Ling to confer empowerments and teachings.
